BHT ( Butylated hydroxytoluene) is a synthetic antioxidant used to protect certain plant extracts and vitamins (Vitamin A) from oxidation.
There is a lot of controversy over this product, especially its use in food products. With topical use it is claimed to be a skin irritant.
We have bought this product after numerous requests, but for DIY skin care there is no need to use this.
