About Chelators

About Tetrasodium EDTA
Tetrasodium EDTA, is a chelating agent often utilized in personal care products to control metal ions across a very broad pH range. In personal care products, these agents improve effectiveness, stability, hard water performance, rinsability, and shelf life of formulations. Tetrasodium EDTA can also be used to neutralize Carbomer, or raise the pH of personal care formulations.
Tetrasodium EDTA is suitable for products with a wide PH range and is recommended for products which are NOT made fresh on a weekly basis and require a longer shelf life.
